My name is Ben Longden, for the past 3 years I have been working as the digital design director at The Guardian, and at The Guardian for the past 5 years.
I have had the privelage to work on some of the Guardian's biggest stories, digital experiences and news events over the past 5 years. From Cambridge analytica, to the paradise papers, to redesiging the entire website to launching new apps.
I'm passionate about design in everyway and have experience working in branding, editorial design and digital design. I am also a frontend developer and happy to get stuck into to any codebase.
Whilst working at the Guardian I have taught for two years at Shillington college, as a part time teacher on their graphic design course. I avidly take on freelance projects when I can to hone my thinking and experiment with different ways to build things.
I am 1/3 of RoomFifty's directors, a website dedictated to helping to make art affordable and accesible to everyone.
